Fiber Broadband Association

Mission:

The Fiber Broadband Association is the only national association focused solely on connecting every home, business, and community in North and Latin America with fiber broadband. We know fiber will create the kind of seismic change in our world not seen since electricity.

Because fiber broadband can ensure every person and device is connected, closing the digital divide once and for all, unleashing economic development, eliminating poverty, creating sustainability, and enabling innovations we haven’t even thought of yet.

The moment is now for fiber. And we ask you to join us. When fiber leads, the future follows.

Key Initiatives:

Advocacy & Public Policy – Dedicated public policy advocacy with a focus on connecting every American with fiber broadband technology is at the forefront of the Fiber Broadband Association’s mission. Engaging both the federal and state levels, specifically policymakers in Congress, at the Federal Communications Commission and within the White House and Executive Branch Agencies, the association champions the interests of the fiber broadband sector, addressing challenges in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Education & Certification - Fiber Broadband Association offers four types of professional certifications:

Research & Resources - Fiber Broadband Association supplies research, tools, and expertise that support informed decisions to build better broadband with fiber, and how to get the most out of fiber investments.

Events

Fiber Broadband Association hosts several events throughout the year providing valuable information, and networking opportunities for the industry.

Fiber Connect – The Fiber Broadband Association’s annual Fiber Connect conference is where the industry comes together as we embark on the most exciting fiber broadband expansion period our industry has seen. As the epicenter of innovation and collaboration in the broadband infrastructure industry, Fiber Connect beckons industry leaders, enthusiasts, and visionaries alike to converge to eliminate the digital divide in North America.

Regional Fiber Connect Workshops – The Fiber Broadband Association hosts several Regional Fiber Connect events throughout the year to bring together industry professionals and share best practices for deploying fiber broadband. These events provide networking opportunities and educational sessions, covering topics such as emerging trends, innovative technologies, and regulatory considerations. The goal is to empower attendees with the latest insights and strategies for successful fiber broadband deployment, fostering a sense of community and collaboration within the industry.

Fiber Day on the Hill - Fiber Day on the Hill is an opportunity for our members to be heard on Capitol Hill. Demonstrations presented by FBA members explain what fiber is and how it improves U.S. households, communities, and the economy – including facilitating 5G, precision agriculture, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. The demos also include an opportunity to learn how to splice fiber and demonstrate the environmental and sustainable benefits of fiber and how fiber technology can scale and power future connectivity.
