The FTTH Council Europe is an industry association with a mission to advance ubiquitous full fibre-based connectivity to the whole of Europe.Our vision is that fibre connectivity will transform and enhance the way we live, do business and interact, connecting everyone and everything, everywhere.
Fibre is the future-proof, climate-friendly infrastructure that enables an unparalleled fixed and wireless experience as well as new innovative digital technologies and services, empowering a leading Digital Society in Europe. This is a crucial prerequisite for safeguarding Europe’s global competitiveness while playing a leading global role in sustainability.
The FTTH Council Europe welcomes any company, business entity, non-profit organisation, academic institution, vendor, operator, investor, consultant, or academics involved in the development, production, deployment, service, maintenance, or analysis of FTTH networks or FTTH network components.
The main activities include promoting the benefits of fibre, sharing best practices, conducting research, providing data and analysis on the state of the fibre optic market in Europe, and organising senior-level industry events targeting the European market.
Well-known yearly publications include the FTTH/B Market Panorama, FTTH/B Global Ranking, FTTH/B Forecasts, and FTTH/B in rural areas updates. Among other resources, the FTTH Council Europe has also authored the FTTH Handbook, the In-Home Broadband Excellence Guide, the Whitepaper - FTTH Council Carbon footprint project, as well as a series of resources delving into FTTH investments, such as the Guide to Successful Fibre Business Models, the FTTH Investments Tracker, and the FTTH Market Sentiment Survey.
Besides internal meetings such as strategic sessions and the bi-annual General Assembly, the association takes part in major external industry events with speaking opportunities from its senior leadership. The association also holds a successful webinar series, sponsored by its members, as well as recurrent C-level online meetings for its membership. The FTTH Council Europe is the organizer of Europe’s leading fibre optic event, the yearly FTTH Conference, and of the newly introduced FTTH Congress, whose first edition will happen in the Balkans region.
